It’s a good idea to sit down with an attorney and go over what your financial situation looks like. Most attorneys are going to explain to you that consumer credit counseling services are available — myself included. In addition, one of the previsions I have is that I don’t like to file bankruptcy for someone who does not owe enough debt.

At my law firm, I define “enough debt” as at least $10,000 of unsecured debt. If you owe less than that, understand your options, and still want to pursue a case, I may move forward with it on your behalf. In many cases, though, I won’t move forward with a case that doesn’t have at least $10,000 worth of unsecured debt because it may not be in the best interests of the client.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with debt in the Huntsville or northern Alabama area, don’t hesitate to give me a call. As a Huntsville area bankruptcy lawyer, it’s my mission to help the people of my community resolve their debt-related concerns. During your free consultation, we can explore which debt solutions are best for your unique situation.
